Attorney Solomson is a graduate of Providence College and of the University of Connecticut Law School, where he was awarded a Juris Doctor Degree in 1974. He was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for excellence in Conflicts of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Attorney Solomson entered state service as a Public Defender in the Hartford Superior Court and was later a prosecutor in Windsor, Connecticut. He served as an Assistant State's Attorney heading up the Connecticut Economic Crime Unit of the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office. In that capacity, he investigated and prosecuted complex white collar cases, with a particular emphasis in the areas of securities and insurance fraud. His unit worked closely with many State and Federal Agencies in the investigation of financial fraud.
After state service, Attorney Solomson was employed by Commercial Union Insurance Company, where he was responsible for insurance fraud investigations nationwide. In 1983, he became an associate in the law firm of Danaher, O'Connell, Attmore, Tedford & Flaherty. He has been a principal at O'Connell, Attmore & Morris since 1987. While at O’Connell, Attmore & Morris, he has concentrated his practice on civil, family, criminal litigation, including regulatory litigation in the securities and insurance fields.
He represents numerous clients in licensing matters before Connecticut agencies. Since 1985, Attorney Solomson has been a member of the Securities Advisory Council to the Connecticut Department of Banking and has often lectured on various securities law issues. He is a member of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations, The Defense Research Institute, and The American Trial Lawyers Association.
